Results from 2013 Tax-Exempt Hospitals' Schedule H Community Benefit Reporting

Description
Reports the community benefit of hospitals by measuring financial costs incurred through charity care, community building activities, financial assistance, and underpayments or unreimbursed care from Medicare and Medicaid. Provides findings specific to rural areas and Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs). Analysis was performed using data from 1,300 hospitals' Form 990 Schedule Hs for tax year 2013.
