Louisiana Oral Health Workforce Expansion Program: Evaluation Report

Reports on Louisiana's efforts to expand oral health access to people in Dental Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) in the state as part of a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) funded grant. Details their efforts so far, challenges faced, and outcomes. Their efforts focused on an oral health needs assessment, a Dental Rural Scholars Track Program modeled after similar medical school programs, and an oral health recruitment and placement program. Appendices include examples of application forms, surveys, and assessment tools used to evaluate the programs, along with a map of state dental HPSAs.
