The 2022 Annual Homeless Assessment Report (AHAR) to Congress
Link
Description
Presents a point-in-time estimate of the number of people experiencing sheltered homelessness at a time chosen between January and March 2022. Explores national estimates on homeless individuals, families, unaccompanied youth, veterans, and chronically homeless individuals. Provides data on homelessness trends over time, demographics of homeless individuals, sheltered individuals, and differences by geography. Contains limited information on unsheltered homeless due to some communities choosing not to do a point-in-time count given the increased risk of COVID-19 transmission.
