Describes the demographic characteristics and participation patterns of rural GED students in distance learning and face-to-face classes and determines the effectiveness of distance learning in preparing rural students to pass the GED tests. Assesses the cost of distance learning provision and examines the advantages and disadvantages of distance learning for GED study.
