Rural Long-Term Services and Supports: A Primer

Description
Provides background information on rural long-term services and supports (LTSS), and examines rural access and use of LTSS. Describes LTSS as integral components of a high-performing rural health system, particularly for individuals with disabilities and/or over the age of 65. Three main sections discuss patterns of rural LTSS use; affordability and burden of LTSS; and rural LTSS models, policies, and trends.
