Healthy Gorge Initiative

  • Program Overview: The Collective Impact Health Specialist (CIHS) is a full-time position created through a partnership between the United Way of the Columbia Gorge and Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital. The position was designed to bring together community partners across sectors in the rural Columbia Gorge region to address health challenges. The CIHS facilitates community partnerships in identifying health needs in the community, supports the development of initiatives to address those needs, and works with partners to secure funding. The Columbia Gorge region is a recipient of the 2016 Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Culture of Health Prize.
