  • Program Overview: The Native Dental Therapy Initiative (NDTI) is a tribal-based solution to the oral health crisis facing tribal communities. NDTI provides opportunities for American Indians and Alaska Natives to become Dental Health Aide Therapists (DHATs). DHATs are primary oral healthcare providers who serve as part of a dentist-led team. NDTI has received support from local foundations, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Pew Charitable Trusts, and the Arcora Foundation.
