Power Up, Speak Out!

  • Program Overview: Power Up, Speak Out! is a five lesson toolkit for educators that encourages middle school students to think critically about healthy relationships, power dynamics, boundaries, and consent. The toolkit includes interactive lessons, activities, and classroom resources. The program has been used by half of the counties in Montana and in nine other states, including over 500 teachers who reached over 30,000 students. Power Up, Speak Out! participated in the Local Funding Partnerships program, funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and has received grants from other philanthropies. In 2017, Power Up, Speak Out! launched a nonprofit business arm and made the Five Lesson Toolkit available for purchase.
