Health Center Program Service Area Considerations Request for Information (RFI)
Apr 8, 2019 -- Announcement from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of a 30-day preview period for the review of the Health Center Program Service Area Considerations Request for Information (RFI). After the preview period, a 60-day comment period will begin to obtain information on service area considerations to inform HRSA decisions about the expansion of services through the addition of new delivery sites to existing health centers. Instructions on how to submit feedback will be available after the preview period.

CMS Finalizes Policies to Bring Innovative Telehealth Benefit to Medicare Advantage
Apr 5, 2019 -- The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announces updates to Medicare Advantage and Part D policies. The updates include access to telehealth services for Medicare Advantage beneficiaries.

MedPAC Finds Low-Volume, Rural Dialysis Centers Are Underpaid
Apr 5, 2019 -- A new analysis from the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission identified a need for updates to payments for rural and low-volume dialysis facilities. On average, Medicare margins for rural facilities was -5.5% and -21% for low-volume facilities. May require subscription to view article.

Barrasso, Smith Introduce Bipartisan Rural Health Clinic Modernization Act
Apr 4, 2019 -- Legislation introduced in the U.S. Senate would update Rural Health Clinic regulations. The updates would address telehealth services, RHC reimbursement, laboratory requirements, and advanced practice clinicians.

STOP School Violence Technology and Threat Assessment Solutions for Safer Schools Program
Grants for the development and operation of school threat assessment and crisis intervention teams and the development of technology for local or regional anonymous reporting systems. AACOM 2018-19 Academic Year Entering Student Survey Summary Report
Results of a survey of 7,027 first year students in 34 colleges of osteopathic medicine and branch campuses. Bacon County Hospital Advances Toward Population Health
