Thinking Outside the Box to Test for COVID-19 in Rural Kentucky
Jun 8, 2020 -- A community task force in rural Kentucky parked a fishing tournament trailer in an empty church parking lot and converted it into a free COVID-19 testing center. Tests were administered free to anyone who received a clinician's order, including patients from neighboring states such as Illinois, Tennessee, and Missouri.

Jun 15, 2020 -- Pre-publication notice of final rule from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Office for Civil Rights (OCR) revising Section 1557 regulations, Title IX regulations, and other CMS regulations to clarify the scope of Section 1557, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of age, sex, national origin, race, color, or disability for a number of health activities and programs. The rule will be effective 60 days after publication of this notice in the Federal Register which is scheduled for June 19, 2020.
