- Linda Matessino, RN, MPH, FACHE, Grant Director for the Oral Health Outreach Grant Program awarded to Innis Community Health Center, will present on the Building Tomorrow’s Smiles Program, which focuses on enhancing oral health for toddlers and children through primary care clinics and a school based health center in rural Louisiana.
- Darcy A. Czarnik Laurin, Executive Director of the Thumb Rural Health Network in Harbor Beach, Michigan, will present on the Partnering for Health Program, which strives to increase the number of low income uninsured individuals that have an ongoing source of care or medical home, including access to free or low cost oral health services.
Description: The Rural Health Information Hub and NORC Walsh Center for Rural Health Analysis recently released a Rural Oral Health Toolkit to help rural communities improve access to oral health care. Developed by NORC on behalf of the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (FORHP), the toolkit contains resources to help communities develop oral health programs by building on best practices of successful oral health program models. This webinar will feature two examples of successful programs funded by FORHP, including lessons learned.
