Aug 20, 2024 - Notice from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) proposing to update Policy Notice 21-01, "Waiver of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Core Medical Services Expenditure Requirement." The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) statute grants the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) authority to waive the requirement that RWHAP Parts A, B, and C recipients send 75 percent of Parts A, B, and C grant funds on core medical services for individuals who are identified with HIV/AIDS and eligible for RWHAP services under the statute. Proposed updates reflect a new policy aimed at clarifying which percentages of HIV service dollars will be allocated to core medical and support services. Comments are due by September 19, 2024.

Aug 16, 2024 - The Health Resources and Services Administration will hold a public meeting of the National Advisory Committee on Rural Health and Human Services (NACRHHS) on September 4-6, 2024. Aug 15, 2024 - The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is seeking comments on a revision of the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH). For 2025, SAMHSA is proposing to change the name of the study to the National Household Survey on Behavioral Health (NHSBH) to emphasize the inclusion of mental health-related survey elements and to clarify the full content of the survey's questions and data for key stakeholders. Comments are due within 30 days of this notice.

Aug 14, 2024 - The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will hold a virtual public meeting of the Presidential Advisory Council on Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria (PACCARB) on August 29, 2024. The PACCARB advises and provides information and recommendations to the Secretary of HHS regarding programs and policies intended to reduce or combat antibiotic-resistant bacteria that may present a public health threat. Aug 14, 2024 - Notice from the Indian Health Service (IHS) announcing the decision to expand the geographic boundaries of the Purchased/Referred Care Delivery Area (PRCDA) for the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon (CTGR) to include Clackamas County in Oregon. The expanded boundaries will include the current PRCDA for the CTGR, which includes Washington, Polk, Yamhill, Marion, Multnomah, and Tillamook counties. This expansion is effective August 14, 2024.
