Purpose

The Montana Rural Physician Incentive Program (MRPIP) assists in the recruitment and retention of primary care physicians by providing loan repayment assistance for physicians who agree to practice in rural and healthcare shortage areas of Montana.

Eligibility

Eligible providers must have:

  • MD or DO degree
  • Valid state of Montana Medical License
  • Have qualified medical education loans through U.S. lenders and U.S. loan servicing companies

Montana
Amount of funding

Up to $150,000 over a 1-5 year period of service.
