North Carolina Rural Center Lending Programs
Online contact form
The North Carolina Rural Center offers loans to small businesses in the state. Small businesses could include rural healthcare providers.
Lending products include:
- Thread capital - Loan funds, business planning, and technical assistance for the start-up and expansion of small businesses
- Capital Access Program - The small business borrower and the lender contribute 2% - 7% of the loan amount, and the Rural Center matches the amount. These funds grow to create a reserve account at each participating lender to be used to offset losses on enrolled loans, thus helping offset the lender’s risk.
- Loan Participation Program - The Rural Center purchases 15% of loans made by lenders to reduce the risk of small business loans.
