Purpose

The Community and Economic Development Initiative of Kentucky offers scholarships for Appalachian students pursuing careers in healthcare or a health-related field. Scholarships are designed to combat the growing healthcare professional shortage in the Appalachian region.

Eligibility

Applicants must from the Appalachian region and pursuing post-secondary education in a health field.

Amount of funding

Up to $2,500 per semester for one academic year. Part‐time students may apply for partial scholarships.

The scholarship is for one year and cannot be renewed.
