Missouri Foundation for Health (MFH) Opportunity Fund will support innovative ideas and approaches that will have a lasting impact on the health of individuals and communities in Missouri most in need. The program is especially focused on ideas that seek to improve, challenge, or disrupt the systems or circumstances that allow inequities to exist.
Successful projects have typically included one or more of the following elements:
- Strategic: Develops internal or sector-wide planning and preparation effort focused on systems change
- Far-reaching: Creates or builds on existing collaborative networks and has implications beyond a single organization's client base
- Community-led: Generates solutions that engage those negatively impacted by the given system
- Connected: Fits within the broader landscape of what the field is doing to address the systems-level issue
- Responsive: Addresses an issue that has recently surfaced in the environment with a systems approach
- Innovative: Tests unconventional approaches to disrupt systems
Eligible applicants include:
- Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations
- Government agencies, including educational institutions
- Programs with a nonprofit fiscal sponsor
Award amounts are not specified. Ideas of any size and scope may be submitted for consideration. Budgets should align with the scope of the project

Submit a concept paper by March 23, 2023. Selected organizations will be invited to submit a full proposal.
