Purpose

ACF Strengthening Organizations Grant program provides operational support to nonprofit organizations in Alaska.

Grant awards will support:

  • Board training and board related consultants
  • Executive director/CEO/Tribal administrator recruitment or coaching
  • Staff/volunteer training and leadership development
  • Financial management such as accounting software or consultation
  • Strategic or business planning, including program evaluation, communications or business plans, and policy creation
  • Technology training, including for digital marketing/communications tools, database/CRM software, or data migration work
  • Fundraising planning, including consultation to create a fundraising or donor development plan

Priority is given organizations that serve under-resourced audiences and communities.

Eligibility

Applications will be accepted from entities in Alaska that are:

  • 501(c)(3) public charities with 509(a)(1), 509(a)(2), or 509(a)(3) status
  • Tribes
  • Tribal organizations
  • Faith-based organizations providing social services to the broader community
  • City governments or boroughs
