The Oregon Rural Health Hero of the Year Award honors a person, program, or organization that has improved the quality or availability of healthcare in rural Oregon.

The award will be presented on October 4, 2018 at the Oregon Rural Health Conference at at The Riverhouse on the Deschutes in Bend, Oregon.


Any person, program, or organization that works on Oregon rural health issues is eligible to apply.

Amount of funding

The awardee will receive a glass display piece and will be invited to attend the conference luncheon with a guest of their choice.
