Purpose

Rosalinde Gilbert Innovations in Alzheimer’s Disease Caregiving Legacy Awards offers monetary awards to programs or projects that focus on supporting family or informal caregivers of adults with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.

One award will be given in each of 3 categories:

  • Creative expression: For programs that use imaginative and creative approaches, such as art, music, theater, and multimedia
  • Diverse/multicultural communities: For programs that fill a gap in services, support, or other types of outreach to family/informal caregivers in rural, low-income, diverse ethnic, diverse age, or LGBTQ communities
  • Policy and advocacy: For programs that advocate for systems change for the benefit of family/informal caregivers or care recipients
Eligibility

Eligible organizations include:

  • Nonprofit organizations
  • Government agencies
  • Universities
Geographic coverage
Nationwide
Amount of funding

One award of $20,000 will be given for each of the 3 categories.
