Purpose

Fundamentals of Rural Grant Writing is Level I of NOSORH's Grant Writing Institute (GWI). This is an on-demand webinar series that introduces the core elements of rural health grant development, including grant terminology, concept planning, and strategies for identifying rural health funding opportunities and resources.

The full course is approximately 90 minutes long and is divided into three 30-minute sessions. The content applies to foundation, state, and federal grants.

Sessions include:

  • Introduction to the grant process
  • Turning ideas into fundable projects
  • Leveraging rural health funding and data
Eligibility

Eligible participants are rural health professionals who are seeking to gain proposal writing skills. The intended audience is individuals who are new to grant writing or have not written a grant in several years.
