The Emergency Response Equipment Grant Program awards funding for the purchase of emergency response equipment for rural volunteer fire, rescue, and ambulance departments.
Funding may be used for:
- Equipment needed to effectively respond to incidents, including hand and extraction tools, fire suppression tools, fire response, and medical equipment
- Equipment needed to protect and support responders when serving such as communication equipment and protection gear
Eligible applicants are rural volunteer fire, rescue, and ambulance departments located within the Compeer Financial Local Service Area consisting of 144 counties in Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
Up to $7,500
All awarded funds must be used by the end of the current calendar year.
