Purpose

The 3RNET Recruiting for Retention Academy includes:

  • Access to live webinars featuring national experts on rural/underserved recruiting and retention
  • Password protected portal to gain access to the webinar recordings, session materials, and additional resources
  • Ability to ask questions of other Academy attendees and 3RNET members via the Academy listserv
  • A certificate of completion for those who attend and complete

Sessions will take place at 1:30 p.m. Central and are expected to last 75-90 minutes on the following dates:

  1. October 5, 2021
    • Setting the foundation of retention through recruitment
    • 30 Years of retention data
  2. October 19, 2021
    • Embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion to recruitment and retention practices
    • Special session put on by 3RNET partner Integrated Work
  3. November 2, 2021
    • Starting retention through behavioral interviewing and other successful hiring practices
    • Data from obligation to retention
  4. November 16, 2021
    • On boarding, stay interviews, administrative structures
    • Data: Strong leaders, strong retention
  5. November 30, 2021
    • Strengthening employee engagement through ongoing performance management, coaching, and accountability
    • Data: Techniques for implementing a successful (and affordable) employee satisfaction survey
  6. December 14, 2021
    • Clinician well being and resilience
    • Data: Compensation strategies and retention hot topics
Eligibility

The Academy is designed for safety net facility employees (Federally Qualified Health Centers, Critical Access Hospitals, Rural Health Clinics, and others) such as:

  • Recruiters
  • Human Resources
  • Medical Directors
  • Chief Financial Officers
  • Chief Executive Officers

The program is open to anyone with an interest in rural recruitment and retention.
