CHS Seeds for Stewardship Grants

The CHS Foundation provides matching grants to cooperatives for projects designed to strengthen and uplift hometown communities. Priority is given to projects that enhance agriculture safety, farmer well-being, agriculture education, and rural community vitality.
Project examples include:
- Health and safety education programs for elementary students
- Purchase of multi-gas monitors for firefighter safety
- Purchase of communications equipment for emergency responders
- Purchase of trucks and equipment for fire safety and prevention
- Purchase of ventilators and other equipment and services to address COVID-19 related needs
- Grain bin safety equipment and training
- Support of food banks
Any member-cooperative or CHS Country Operations location is eligible to apply. Grant requests must be submitted by a cooperative on behalf of a local organization.
Award ceiling: $10,000
Award floor: $1,000
Eligible applicants may receive up to 2 grants per year.
