Purpose

The Tribal Transit Awards recognize innovation, efficiency, commitment, and performance in the tribal transit industry.

Awards will be given in 2 categories:

  • Tribal Transit Champion Award: Recognizes people who are the driving forces behind tribal transit systems. Nominations are for individuals that have made significant contributions to the tribal transit community.
  • Tribal Transit System Award: Recognizes challenges overcome and best practices that raise the bar for tribal transit systems. The recognition of an agency will distinguish them as a champion in the tribal transit industry.

Awards will be presented at the National RTAP Technical Assistance Conference, which will be held December 3-6, 2023 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Eligibility

Eligible awardees are individuals and transit systems that have made significant contributions to the tribal transit community.

Finalists will be provided with complimentary registration to the National RTAP Technical Assistance Conference and honored at an award ceremony.
