Purpose

The National Indian Health Board offers awards to recognize excellence, achievement, and innovation for individuals, tribes, organizations, and programs that have enriched and improved public health in American Indian and Alaska Native communities. Awards will highlight work that has improved health status, implemented new programming, addressed long standing health disparities, and/or increased the visibility of Tribal public health concerns.

Awards will presented at the National Tribal Public Health Summit, which will take place virtually on May 9-12, 2022.

Eligibility

Contributions must be in the field of public health and should have helped to advance the state of tribal public health policy, programming, or improved the nature of public health services for American Indians and Alaska Natives at the tribal, area/regional, or national level.

Application process

Submit the online nomination form by March 18, 2022.
