The Early Childhood Health Program provides grants for early intervention programs in the Medica Foundation service area that focus on developing healthy families to foster optimal growth and development of young children.
Funding may be used to:
- Improve access to prenatal and postpartum care, including doula support and home visitation
- Improve maternal health outcomes and birth equity for women of color
- Address preventive health and dental care
- Enhance parenting skills
- Support developmental, social, and emotional health
Preference is given to organizations using trauma-sensitive practices and a strengths-based approach to care, as well as to proposals that build partnerships and collaborations within a community.
Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, public/governmental agencies, or Tribal Nations located in and providing services in Minnesota.
Up to $40,000.

A two-step application process is in place for Early Childhood Health grants. Submit an initial application through the online application portal by April 28, 2023. Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal.
