National Indian Health Board
The National Indian Health Board (NIHB) will provide
grants to support education and outreach on tribal dental
therapy programs. The overall goal of the program is
strengthening efforts and launching new efforts to
enhance federal, state, and tribal policies supportive of
dental therapy within the Indian Health System.
Applicants must be either a unit of government or a
501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that meets the following
- A federally recognized tribe, tribal health
consortium, or a tribal organization.
- Have a strong interest and/or demonstrated commitment
to increasing the access and quality of oral health
Amount of funding
Three grants up to $25,000 each will be awarded.
The project period will run for 12 months, from September
1, 2022 to August 31, 2023.
