Purpose

The Northwest Public Health and Primary Care Leadership Institute is a leadership and educational opportunity in the northwest region that focuses on the intersection of public health and primary care, using a health equity focus. Participants will experience group and individual assignments, panels, lectures, webinars, and discussions, and use problem-based learning to explore real-life situations leaders face in the field.

Participants will develop competencies in the areas of:

  • Population Health and Health Equity
  • Systems Thinking
  • Leadership and Change Management
  • Healthcare Transformation and System Integration

Program dates:

  • In-person session 1 will take place March 12-14, 2025 in Seattle, WA.
  • Virtual sessions will take place every third Wednesday, April through August, 2025
  • In-person session 2 will take place September 17-19, 2025 in Seattle, WA
Eligibility

The program is designed for mid-career professionals from public health and primary care fields, particularly emerging leaders working with rural and underserved populations on healthcare transformation.

Geographic coverage
Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington
Amount of funding

The early bird rate through August 31, 2024 is $3,800. The program rate after August 31, 2024 is $4,070.

Some scholarship funds may be available.
