Purpose

The Rural Family Medicine with Obstetrics Fellowship is a one-year fellowship with Tacoma Family Medicine in Washington for family medicine physicians who plan to care for a rural population with limited access to healthcare services. The fellowship includes expanded scope obstetrics including cesarean sections.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are recent residency graduates and physicians with practice experience who would like to work in a rural family practice setting.

The fellowship does not support J-1 Visas.

Amount of funding

Fellows receive a salary, malpractice insurance, and standard benefits for MultiCare employees.

Typically, 5 fellows are accepted each year. Positions are filled on a rolling basis.
