Purpose

Native Youth on the Move Grants will support existing projects that focus on improving and sustaining native youth health in New Mexico.

Core areas for projects include:

  • Increasing opportunities for physical activity
  • Increasing access to healthy and affordable foods
  • Building youth leadership and advocacy
  • Deepening cultural connections
Eligibility

Eligible applicants include:

  • U.S. based Native American-controlled 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations
  • Federally or state recognized tribal governments or programs
  • Native American community-based groups with a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor

Award ceiling: $25,000
Project period: August 1, 2022 - January 15, 2024
