Continuum of Care Competition and Youth Homeless Demonstration Program Grants
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will provide Funding for registered Continuum of Care (CoC) communities to implement coordinated approaches to reduce the prevalence of unsheltered homelessness; and improve services engagement, health outcomes, and housing stability.
Projects may include:
- Permanent housing
- Transitional housing
- Rapid re-housing
- Supportive services
- Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS)
Eligible applicants:
- State governments
- City or township governments
- County governments
- Special district governments
- Federally recognized Native American tribal governments
- Native American tribal organizations
- Public and state controlled institutions of higher education
- Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
Award ceiling: $25,000,000
Award floor: $2,500
Estimated number of awards: 7,000
Project period: Up to 60 months

Programs that address homelessness in rural communities may partner with CoCs to provide services. Contact the appropriate CoC partner to discuss the project and applying for funding. CoC may have set their own deadlines prior to the HUD deadline.
