Purpose

The Health Resources and Services Administration provides grants for current Health Center grant recipients to improve developmental outcomes among children served by health centers by increasing developmental screenings and access to appropriate follow-up services for children ages 0-5, and by expanding, enhancing, and further integrating early childhood development expertise into care teams. • Increase the number of children and their families assisted with accessing appropriate follow-up services within 30 days of a developmental screening identifying an area of concern
  • Focus areas include:

    • Workforce recruitment, retention, development, and engagement
    • Patient/caregiver experience
    • Access and affordability
