Purpose

The State of New Mexico Governor's Commission on Disability provides grants to improve or enhance programs and services that increase the quality of life of New Mexicans with disabilities

  • Adaptive movement
  • Effective communication about services and programs
  • Housing habitability
  • Social integration
  • Technology training and accessibility
Eligibility

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be a New Mexico nonprofit organization
  • Provide programs for, or provide services to, people with disabilities
  • Be tax exempt under the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) code, including nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organizations, schools, religious organizations, and tribal-based organizations

Priority will be given to projects in rural areas or tribal lands.
