The State of New Mexico Governor's Commission on Disability provides grants to improve or enhance programs and services that increase the quality of life of New Mexicans with disabilities
- Adaptive movement
- Effective communication about services and programs
- Housing habitability
- Social integration
- Technology training and accessibility
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be a New Mexico nonprofit organization
- Provide programs for, or provide services to, people with disabilities
- Be tax exempt under the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) code, including nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organizations, schools, religious organizations, and tribal-based organizations
Priority will be given to projects in rural areas or tribal lands.
Award ceiling: $15,000
Project period: July 15, 2023 - June 7,
2024
