Purpose

The State of New Mexico Governor's Commission on Disability provides grants to improve or enhance programs and services that increase the quality of life of New Mexicans with disabilities that address:

  • Adaptive movement
  • Programmatic access
  • Veterans' programs
  • Social integration and support
  • Technology training and accessibility: Priority will be given to rural areas or tribal lands
Eligibility

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be a New Mexico nonprofit organization
  • Provide programs for, or provide services to, people with disabilities
  • Be tax exempt under the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) code, including nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organizations, schools, religious organizations, and tribal-based organizations
