Purpose

The American Indians Accessing Health Professions Workshop is a two day educational program designed to encourage more American Indian/Alaska Native students to pursue health professions. The workshop will take place July 27-30 at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.

Students will experience educational sessions on different health careers, health school admissions, financial aid, research opportunities, and problem-based learning.

Eligibility
This workshop is designed for freshmen and sophomore students at community colleges, tribal colleges, or universities who may have an interest in pursuing careers in medicine.

Amount of funding

Travel, food, lodging, and program expenses will be covered for selected participants.
