Purpose

The Pathways to Practice Scholars Program is a student award program that will provide public health students with the opportunity to have competency-based field placement experiences in local health departments or community-based organizations (CBOs) serving underserved populations and communities.

Broad areas that might be addressed by a field placement include epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy, health management, health promotion, health education, global health, health communications, environmental health, and refugee health.

Eligibility

Public health graduate students from accredited schools/programs in Region IV are eligible to apply.

Geographic coverage
Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee
Amount of funding

Scholars will receive a $3,500 living allowance award.
