Purpose

The California Public Utilities Commission is offering Grants for last-mile broadband infrastructure projects to connect unserved Californians with high-speed broadband services. Projects must provide minimum 100 Mbps download and upload.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include:

  • Facilities-based broadband providers
  • Local government agencies
  • Electric utilities
  • Nonprofit organizations
  • Entities with a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN)
  • Cooperatives
  • California tribes (including wholly-owned tribal corporations and nonprofit organizations)
