Purpose

The Community Relations and Innovation fund provides funding to organizations and individuals in Native communities committed to serving community needs, including but not limited to youth work, community building, arts/culture, language and education/advocacy.

Eligibility

Tribal entities, organizations, and artists providing services in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana are eligible to apply.

Eligible entities must serve at least 51% Native communities and have two-thirds of their staff and board comprised of Native individuals. Eligible entities include:

  • Federally recognized tribal entities
  • State recognized tribal entities
  • Tribal entities seeking recognition
  • Native 501c3 and 501c4 organizations
  • Fiscally sponsored organizations
  • Individual artist enrolled
  • Individual artist descendant
