The Mobile Health Impact Accelerator (MHIA) is a 6-month learning opportunity designed for staff of mobile health clinics. The Accelerator focuses on building connections between mobile clinics and public health systems, with an emphasis on expanding access to care and building trust within communities.
Objectives and program activities:
- Tools for Sustainability: Develop a professional one-pager, an impact case study, and a compelling elevator pitch that can be used with funders, partners, and community members to communicate value and impact.
- Community Partnerships: Learn strategies for successful community engagement and partnership development, including how to identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders. Meet with a local government representative or decision maker to build support and collaboration.
- Evaluation and Storytelling Skills: Identify the program's key impact metrics and learn how to collect, analyze, and present data in ways that tell the story effectively. Move beyond numbers to create compelling narratives that demonstrate the program's essential role in the community.
- Sustainable Program Foundations: Develop a deeper understanding of sustainability beyond funding, including community rootedness, strategic partnerships, and policy engagement. Learn how to share the impact of the mobile clinic as an essential part of the local health ecosystem.
- Peer Network and Ongoing Resources: Join a community of practice with mobile health professionals from across the country, participating in shared learning, receiving troubleshooting support, and utilizing specific tools and resources to support mobile clinic work.
