This opportunity, short title OVW Transitional Housing Assistance Grant Program, offers funding for transitional housing and support services for victims who are homeless or in need of transitional housing or other housing assistance as a result of a situation of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking.
Funds may be used for:
- Transitional housing, including funding for the operating expenses of newly developed or existing transitional housing
- Short-term housing assistance, including rental or utilities payments assistance and assistance with related expenses such as payment of security deposits and other costs incidental to relocation to transitional housing
- Support services for adults, minors, or their dependents who are fleeing a situation of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking
Priority will be given to:
- Measures to combat human trafficking and transnational crime, particularly crimes linked to illegal immigration and cartel operations, that support safety and justice for trafficking victims who have also suffered domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and/or stalking
- Projects dedicated to direct victim services, particularly in small towns and rural, remote, and tribal communities
Applications will be accepted from:
- States
- Tribes
- Territories
- Local governments
- Nonprofit entities, including tribal nonprofit organizations
Award ceiling: up to $600,000
Project period: 48 months

$48,500,000
