The New York State Office of Mental Health (NYS OMH) offers funding to support the expanded implementation of the Psychiatric Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) in obstetrics and gynecology (OBGYN) and family medicine practices across the state.
CoCM builds behavioral health capacity in primary care by enhancing the team with support from a Psychiatric Consultant and a Behavioral Health Care Manager (BHCM). NYS OMH currently provides comprehensive training and technical assistance to practices implementing CoCM, and New York provides Medicaid reimbursement for CoCM.
