The Roundhouse Foundation offers grants focusing on arts and culture, education, the environment, and social services in rural Oregon. Funding opportunities include:
- Small grants: Supports innovative, grassroots work and offers opportunities to test new approaches that can be replicated for broader impact
- Open call: Supports projects that fit within the Roundhouse Foundation's focus areas
- Capital grants building maintenance or new construction: Supports repairs to existing facilities, construction or significant renovation of new facilities, and acquisition of a specialized vehicle to meet a community need and increase access to basic health or educational services
- Technical assistance and professional development grants: Supports access to professional development and technical assistance opportunities that strengthen skills, talents, and capacity of the nonprofit sector
- Local food purchase grants for food pantries, senior centers, gleaners, and backpack/summer meal programs:Supports food access through local purchasing to strengthen local food systems
- Library collection and programming grants: Supports programming and collection development for school or public libraries
Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) nonprofits or their fiscal sponsors, government entities, or tribal governments. Detailed eligibility information for each grant program is available on the program website:
- Small grants: Between $500 and $2,500
- Open call: Between $2,501 and $30,000 (median award is approximately $20,000)
- Capital grants building maintenance or new construction:
- Building maintenance: Up to $25,000
- New construction: Up to $100,000
- Vehicle purchase: Up to $25,000
- Technical assistance and professional development grants: Up to $5,000
- Local food purchase grants for food pantries, senior centers, gleaners, and backpack/summer meal programs:
- Food pantries, senior centers, and gleaners: Up to $6,000
- Backpack/summer meals programs: Up to $2,500
- Library collection and programming grants: Supports programming and collection development for school or public libraries
- Single school: Up to $2,000
- School district: Up to $5,000
