The Rural Hospital Leadership Award honors an exceptional leadership team that has guided their rural hospital and community through transformational change and healthcare reform.
Applicants must demonstrate efforts in one or more of the following initiatives:
- Coordinated care
- Improved population health
- Clinical integration
- Alternate payment methods
- Advances in access to care/telehealth
- Extended or expanded access to coverage
- Improved outcomes
- Workforce innovation and solutions
Applicants must be the chief executive officer, president, or administrator of an AHA member hospital located in a rural area.
A $2,000 stipend will be provided to defray the team representative's expenses to attend the 2023 AHA Rural Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas.
