Partnership to Promote Local Efforts To Reduce Environmental Exposure
Grants to build community capacity to assess and respond to site-specific issues involving human exposure to hazardous substances in the environment. Funding may be used to conduct site-specific health assessments and provide recommendations to prevent, reduce, or eliminate harmful exposures and to educate the community, stakeholders, and health professionals on site-specific environmental exposures and risks to human health. When planning project activities, applicants must consider sensitive populations such as children and the elderly, as well as underserved populations such as tribes, people with disabilities, rural populations, and populations where English is a second language.
