Sep 27, 2021 - The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Rural Business-Cooperative Service (RBS) is accepting applications for grants under the Rural Business Development Grant Program for fiscal year 2022. Applications that will help rural communities, particularly disadvantaged communities, recover economically from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic; ensure all rural residents have equitable access to RD programs and benefits from RD funded projects; and increasing resilience to the impacts of climate change through economic support to rural communities are encouraged. Applications are due by February 28, 2022.

Sep 7, 2021 - Announcement from USDA's Rural Business-Cooperative Service inviting applications for loans and grants under the Rural Economic Development Loan and Grant (REDLG) Programs for fiscal year 2022. Awards will be made based on the amount of funding available through the appropriations process. Projects should focus on assisting rural communities recover economically from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly disadvantaged communities; ensuring all rural residents have equitable access to USDA Rural Development (RD) programs and benefits from RD funded projects; and reducing climate pollution and increasing resilience to the impacts of climate change through economic support to rural communities.
