Jul 13, 2026 - Announcement from the Department of the Interior (DOI) Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) of forthcoming funding and grant application information for the Native American Technology and Manufacturing Grant Pilot Program—(IGNITE: Indigenous Growth in New & Innovative Trade Employment) program. Funding will support tribal workforce development strategies in construction and infrastructure trades as well as emerging technology sectors. Projects may include housing, roads, utilities, and community infrastructure projects such as structural steel, rebar, bridges, buildings, and infrastructure projects. A notice of funding opportunity will be released on the BIA-OIS website.

Jun 24, 2026 - The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is seeking comments on a new information collection titled "Understanding Participant Experiences in SNAP E&T." The information collected will be used to assess the experiences of SNAP participants as they navigate work requirements, seek training opportunities through SNAP Employment and Training (E&T) programs, and find employment. The USDA Food and Nutrition Administration (FNA) will use the information to develop actionable recommendations that states can use to improve customer service and efficiently connect SNAP participants with training and services that reduce barriers to work. Comments are due by July 24, 2026.

Jun 3, 2026 - Notice of an interim final rule with comment period from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) related to the Medicaid community engagement requirement established by Public Law 119-21. This rule specifies the requirements and expectations for States implementing the community engagement requirement, including the Medicaid applicants and beneficiaries who must demonstrate community engagement as a condition of their eligibility, the types of qualifying activities that satisfy the community engagement requirement, the criteria to meet an exception from the requirement, and the criteria to meet a specified exclusion from the requirement. Among other things, this rule also establishes new state reporting requirements. These regulations are effective July 31, 2026. Comments are due by July 31, 2026.
