NHTSA, DOT: National Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council; Solicitation of Applications

Oct 7, 2024 - The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is accepting applications from qualified candidates to be considered for appointment as members of the National Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council (NEMSAC). NEMSAC serves as a nationally recognized council of emergency medical services (EMS) representatives and consumers to provide advice and recommendations regarding EMS to the U.S. Department of Transportation. Applications are due by November 1, 2024.

Sep 9, 2024 - The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking nominations for membership on the Board of Scientific Counselors, National Center for Health Statistics (BSC, NCHS). Nominations are being sought for individuals who have the expertise and qualifications necessary to contribute to the accomplishment of the Board's objective to provide advice and guidance on statistical and epidemiological research, data collection, and activities that support the National Center for Health Statistics, such as determinants of health, extent and nature of illness and disability, prevalence of chronic diseases and impairments, infant and maternal morbidity and mortality, and more. Nominations are due by November 22, 2024.

Aug 13, 2024 - Announces the 2024 Rural Health Hackathon, a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services event of collaborative sessions aiming to identify innovative solutions for rural health challenges, particularly access to care, care delivery, and workforce.
