HHS: Request for Nominations of Members To Serve on the Healthcare Advisory Committee

Aug 22, 2025 - Notice from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announcing its intent to establish the Healthcare Advisory Committee, which will advise the Secretary of HHS and Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on issues related to improving the operations and outcomes of federally administered healthcare insurance and payment programs. HHS is also requesting nominations for membership on the committee. Nominations are due by September 22, 2025.

Aug 22, 2025 - Request for nominations for the Health Resources & Services Administration's Tribal Advisory Council (TAC). TAC advises HRSA staff on public health issues and collaborative approaches to addressing the needs of American Indian and Alaska Natives. Eligible nominees are elected tribal officials from Alaska, Albuquerque, Bemidji, Billings, California, Navajo, Phoenix, and Portland. Nominations should be emailed to tribalaffairs@hrsa.gov by August 29, 2025.

VA: Solicitation of Nominations for Appointment to the Advisory Committee on United States Outlying Areas and Freely Associated States

Aug 8, 2025 - The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking nominations to the Advisory Committee on United States Outlying Areas and Freely Associated States. The committee advises the Secretary of Veterans Affairs on matters related to veterans residing in American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the Virgin Islands of the United States, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau. Nominations must be received by September 10, 2025.

Jul 21, 2025 - John Packham of the Nevada Office of Rural Health won the 2025 Calico Quality Leadership Award. The award is given annually to a rural health leader by the National Rural Health Resource Center's Technical Assistance & Services Center.

Jul 17, 2025 - The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking nominations of qualified candidates to be considered for appointment as members of the Advisory Committee on Tribal and Indian Affairs to represent the following Indian Health Service (IHS) areas: Great Plains, Portland, Phoenix, Oklahoma City, Alaska, Albuquerque, Native Hawaiian, Urban Indian, and Member At-Large. The Committee provides advice and guidance to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs on all matters relating to Indian tribes, tribal organizations, Native Hawaiian organizations, and Native American Veterans. Nominations are due by August 31, 2025.
