The Faith, Activity, and Nutrition (FAN) Dissemination and Implementation Study: 24-Month Organizational Maintenance in a Countywide Initiative

Examines the effectiveness of the initial phase of the Faith, Activity, and Nutrition (FAN) program, an evidence-based program designed to help churches develop policy, methods, and environmental change to support physical activity and health eating within their congregation. Study was implemented in rural, medically underserved Fairfield County, South Carolina with 59 churches participating. Members were predominantly Black/African American and affiliated with the Baptist denomination.
