A Population-Based Assessment of Metastatic Hepatoblastoma in Texas Reveals Ethnic Disparities
Presents the results of a population-based study to advance knowledge of the epidemiology of hepatoblastoma, a common liver disease in children particularly Latino children, and to identify the high-risk factors of the disease to improve health outcomes. Study evaluated population data based on sex, race or ethnicity, age, urban-rural status, and residence in the Texas-Mexico border region.

Factors Impacting Implementation of Nutrition and Physical Activity Policies in Rural Schools
Examines school policies and implementation related to nutrition and physical activity (PA) to understand the disproportionate rates of obesity in rural Latino children. Analyzes perceptions of policies and barriers from 20 interviews with stakeholders in Lower Yakima Valley of Eastern Washington State K-12 school districts. Mobile Health and Wellness Project: A Binational Collaboration of Frontline Health Services to the Latino Population in the United States in Times of COVID-19
Highlights the activities and initial outcomes of the education and vaccination efforts provided by the Mobile Health and Wellness project focused on Latino, immigrant, and rural communities in the U.S. to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Preventive health services were offered to Latinx populations in areas with limited access to health services, and provided via mobile health vehicles operated by the US-Mexico Border Health Commission (Mexico Section) along with Alianza Americas, Latino Commission on AIDS, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

COVID-19 Vaccination Willingness and Uptake among Rural Black/African American, Latino, and White Adults
Using the COVID-19 Unequal Racial Burden survey, compares rural and nonrural adults' willingness to vaccinate against COVID-19. 1,500 respondents (500 from each racial or ethnic group) were used to compare willingness to vaccinate from rural Black or African American, Latino, and White adult population groups. Includes descriptive graphs showing reasons for their willingness or unwillingness among rural adults.
