Arkansas Becomes Third U.S. State to Add Medicaid Work Requirements
Mar 5, 2018 - The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved a Medicaid waiver for the state of Arkansas that would allow the state to require Medicaid recipients to work or participate in job training or job search activities for 80 hours per month in order to continue to receive health insurance. CMS did not approve the part of the waiver that would have limited the state's Medicaid expansion to those at 100% of the federal poverty level.
