A technical assistance and capacity building opportunity that will provide local health departments with resources to address vaccine hesitancy for routine, influenza, and COVID-19 vaccines. The opportunity is open to rural and tribal health departments.

Promoting Vaccine Confidence in Local Communities through Partnership with Regional Health Offices Inactive
Funding for local public health agencies and other eligible organizations to establish partnerships with community stakeholders to increase vaccine confidence among populations with low vaccination rates, including rural communities.

Native American-Serving Nontribal Institutions (NASNTI) Program Assistance Inactive
Grants for eligible institutions of higher education to enable them to improve and expand capacity to serve Native Americans and low-income individuals. Priority will be given to applications that: (1) address educational equity for rural students, students with disabilities, and students experiencing homelessness; and (2) address the impact of COVID-19 on academic and mental health challenges for students from low-income backgrounds, students of color, English learners, students with disabilities, and students living in rural communities.

Rural Health Clinic Vaccine Confidence Program Inactive
Grants to address COVID-19 related health equity gaps and improve healthcare in rural areas by engaging Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) to improve vaccine confidence and counter vaccine hesitancy in rural communities.

Native Center for Alcohol Research and Education Pilot Project Grant Program Inactive
Grants for innovative research projects that focus on reducing the burden of alcohol use disorders in American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities and to support and provide mentorship to junior investigators during the development of their novel approaches to improving the lives of AI/AN people.

Transformative Research to Address Health Disparities and Advance Health Equity at Minority Serving Institutions (U01 Clinical Trial Allowed) Inactive
Funding to support collaborative teams and individual scientists who propose unusually innovative research projects, which if successful, would have a major impact on preventing, reducing, or eliminating health disparities and advancing health equity. A focus is on applications from minority serving institutions.

Rural Health Clinic Technical Assistance Program Inactive
A cooperative agreement with a single entity to provide technical assistance, tools, resources, and strategies that are easily accessible to geographically dispersed Rural Health Clinics and that could be used to inform rural healthcare providers and other federal, state, and local stakeholders. Assistance may also include topics related to public health priorities such as ending the opioid epidemic and responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Senior Corps Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) Inactive
Funding to develop and support Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) projects for volunteers 55 years and older in serving specific local and community needs.

Emergency Grants to Address Mental and Substance Use Disorders During COVID-19 Inactive
Grants to provide crisis intervention services, mental and substance use disorder treatment, and other related recovery supports for children and adults impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
